No really there is tons of little rocks and sand type rocks in my air box. See pics. What do I do about this?

Also, do I need this check valve because the end just snapped when I went to touch it?

    Re: Air box....rocks? help

Has anyone else had all this stuff in their air box? Does it matter? What is that particular check valve for?

Why can't I just get rid of the line that is attached to #3?

I'd remove that box and wash it out. Yes you need that check valve. You can probably super glue together until you get a new one to avoid a CEL. It just looks as if it's never been cleaned out.

    Re: Air box....rocks? help

What about for the people who have removed all their check valves and lines from their system. Wouldn't I be able to do that to a portion of the system and be ok?

F the screen. Just keep it clean and as long as your filter is good, you are good.

    Re: Air box....rocks? help

That's the dirtiest airbox I think I've ever seen and I'm an offroader with a big ole jeep in my stable. I don't think I've ever seen that much hard/large particle debri in a box before. That's amazing!

Like they said I'd go ahead and vacuum the whole thing spotless and then super glue the valve til you can replace.

Do they use sand when it snows on the roads where you live? That might be the culprit
