    CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!!!??????? WTF!!!!!???

Sam exact spot where I hit the deer, just opposite side of the freeway. It was raining and dark (2am) and I got to switch lanes. Since it's dark (and christmas trees are dark) I dont see the thing the last second. I swerve and it ends up hitting the right side of my front bumper. The tow hook cover is smashed in along with half of my license plate, and covered in pine needles. Seriously..is bad luck drawn to me or something?? I can smell the christmas spirit all over the front of my car.

Question: Does insurance cover stuff like this? Is it considered comprehensive? Can I get my bumper fixed/replaced by only paying my deductible?

sorry to hear bro. from when i hit a cone once on the freeway, the insurance will cover it if u have a police report. in order to do that it comes out as an accident because it was stationary. they will say you should have been going slow enough to swerve. the only other way is if the object is falling in front of you. then it isn't your fault. mostly likely it will be cheaper in the long run to fix it yourself.

omg thats horrible.... call the police and make a report, like ^^ said. Otherwise insurance may not cover it.

If it was in the road it's a road hazard and the city/county whoever is responsible for taking care of it (within reasons mind you, they have to know about it first) but it might be like a big pot hole. If you damage your wheel you may be able to get the city/county to pay for it since they did not properly maintain the road.

Might be worth a shot or it might just cost you more money and time and give you a headache.

thanks for the responses. I think I'm just gonna settle on getting a new bumper on my own. I've been eying the Oettinger one for a while so this gives me an excuse the pull the trigger on it. =)

C'mon Nick an X-mas tree is the best you can give us? I guess deers are played out by now LOL. Insurance will cover and hopefully your comp. deductible is $200 or less. You'll probably get only about $500 for that claim though since and S4 skin is pretty cheap. Hey, the best thing is that comp. claims dont raise your premium.
