mine are backwards (007A's), and I noticed no difference in sound, even with the Darintake.
seriously though, search multiple times using different key words.. theres a 99.9% chance that what you are wanting to do is not original and has been discussed at least 3 times on here.

you CAN run them backwards with ZERO problems (although the Audi Stealership decided that my backwards ones were not correct and told me "your aftermarket valves are installed incorrectly and do not work this way".. I asked them "o really, how did i drive here, and why does my boost gauge go into vacuum immediatly after throttle release then?" They kindly offered to switch them into "working" order for me for 60 dollars.. I lol'd)

It will make no noticeable difference, just install them the way they were designed to be installed and call it a day.

Put them on backwards, and install the forge dv spacer (little metal disc). Then you get a nice little pshhh sound when you let off the throttle. They still function just fine.

I have the baileys dv's. When you really get on it, you can hear the slight and faint pshhh too. But you realy have to be listening and swiss cheeze the airbox

you will hear them decently with a open element filter/intake like the S-flo or evoms intake. I have the evoms cold air intake and can hear them with the windows up

i cant find the forge spacer?

They should look like those metal rings. My dv's came with all springs and spacers. It seems like you can also buy them in the forge DV tuning kit.

Doing the Darintake mod will help as well.
