    there's a discussion thread on AZ that got pretty interesting answers, so I thought I'd test it out in poll format.

    If you were buying a BRAND NEW car, which would you pick? They're about the same price actually (dealers are blowing out 08 RS4 for 58,000 while the new similarly equipped B8 S4 will be priced within $2-3,000 of this., so this is a great comparison challenge.

    We'll assume that the B8 S4 is available right now, even though it won't be here for a few months.

    Not even close for me: RS4. While the updated interior of the B8 S4 is arguably better, the RS4 widebody and superb V8 engine easily trumps the plain looking B8 style and SC V6.

    I think many B5 guy are more focused on what the new S4 may be able to do with a tune, vs the V8 guys loving the RS4 for what it can do stock. I for one love my warranty!

    RS4 for sure... but if you wait a few months, the new S4's will be cheap too. Dang Audi's can't hold their value.
