TIP wouldn't go back into park

Well the problem corrected itself I think, but still want some idea's on what might have caused this.

Took the wife to lunch, and when we got there the auto shifter would not return to the park position. I was unable to get my key out of the ignition. I felt a lot of resistance once I moved the shifter from reverse to park. I ended up just taking my car starter remote off and locking the car so we could go in and eat.
After I dropped her off again I was on my way home and went from D into manual tip mode and I felt the shifter reposition itself. Meaning that while usually the shifter will move over into the manual mode in a strait line, this time it felt like it was off center and "pulled" itself back into line when I put it in manual mode. when I got home it parked just fine.

So......any idea's? is there something loose? Kinda cold outside right now (-1) so I don't really want to try to tear the console apart.

it's in the manual somewhere why that's happening.
look under the tiptronic category. It's a safety issue and the tiptronic locks itself up and the steeringwheel.
