Problem with brakes (HELP)

So anyway I drove my newly acquired S4 down to San Diego yesterday and the day before (from Seattle). And on the way down I noticed that something has to be wrong with the brakes. When I go to brake hard on them they arent braking 100%.

For example. I can slow softly, but when I need to get on the brakes it gets to a point where it stops increasingly slowing the car down. Does that make sense? I know something is wrong. Just down know what that is a sign of.

Do you hear any air escaping or whistling at lower RPMs?

First thing to check is your brake booster line. It tends to find it's way loose every now and then.
