Can anyone settle an argument for me?

I just a "discussion" with a buddy of mine who works in the parts department of an audi dealership. He says all 2007 FWD A4's were CVT or tip...I could have sworn that there are guys on here who have 6sp FWD A4's......am I crazy or is he?

    Thanks.

I'm not sure which one of you is crazy, but one thing is for sure...one of you smells really, really bad.

I know in 05 you could get a 6mt and FWD...but they may have changed it over the next few years. I don't know about 07..

It feels vigorous and quick, drawing on the full force of the engine's production of 200 hp peaking between 5100 and 6000 rpm plus 207 lb-ft of torque spread across a broad band from 1800 to 5000 rpm.

2.0T entry edition in the A4 series carries the 2.0-liter turbo FSI plant in front-wheel-drive (FWD) FrontTrak format with the manual six-speed transmission.

In addition, Audi offers a Multitronic continuously-variable transmission (CVT), which approaches the manual's fuel economy and quickness but delivers undetectable shift transitions through an electric clutch.
this was for an 06 model...

Re: Can anyone settle an argument for me?

Audiworld's model guide resource has a pdf of the 2007 audi a4 technical specs. Under drivetrain the 2007 2.0t frontrack is listed as having the cvt and the 6-speed manual as the two optional drivetrains. the quattro gets the tiptronic or the 6-speed but not the cvt. I would have posted the document but cannot figure out how to post a pdf or an image of the pdf.
