Anyone know where to get Ruf RG5 Wheels?

So a guy was selling a set on here and the tex a couple months ago and while I don't "need" wheels I really wanted these but didn't wanna spend my vacation money. I contacted him recently to get some info on them and to my chagrin he bought them from a private seller and told me he understood they were fairly rare. After some searches I still can't find anything besides the classified listing for these wheels. I am starting to think that is not the name of the wheel and I feel like I have seen them as OEM Porsche wheels. Before I dig deep does anyone have any info on these?

I almost bought those wheels if I didn't convert to studs and they are Ruf RG5 wheels.

That particular set is rare since those are 2 sets of front wheels off a Porsche. Similar to how my 20s are 2 sets of front wheels off a Lamborghini.

You would need 5x130 to 5x112 adapters which he supplied.

If you want to get a 5x112 setup then you would have to look overseas to Japan and check out the RENNsport eightyone which is a Ruf replica

Nothing is impossible... it is all down to how much money you want to spend.

IMO those Ruf wheels look deadly on a B6 as shown in those pics.

Go follow the lead on the RENNsport eightyone wheels. You'll find a few shops in Japan that sell them, the issue then is payment and having them shipped here.

I had Ruf RG5 18x8.5 on my Jetta many years ago. I forgot who the importer was back then, but they were located in NJ if I remember correctly. They had four fronts shipped directly to me in Florida from Ruf in Germany. I think the current importer is in Texas (www.rufautocentre.com).

The single piece RUF 19 by 8,5 inch wheels are available for sale individually for $1,150 each. Included for this price is the wheel, RUF centercap, and wheel specific valvestem. The only offset these wheels are available in is a 56mm setup.

Prices sure have gone up. My 18x8.5 were under $600 each plus $250 shipping from Germany. I remember 19's being roughly $100 more per wheel. But that was 8 years ago

The set wouldn't really do him any good, he could only use the fronts. He would be stuck with rears to sell off and to source another set of fronts. Good looking out though.
