Oil Cap Gasket

Where's the cheapest place to find the gasket/seal in between the oil cap and motor. Mine is chewed up and drips oil into the 4 cylinder spark plug hole.

Then you need a valve cover gasket.

No the gasket that touches the oil cap. This is on the 2.8 the oil links in through the top because of the angle and position of the oil filling hole.

Thats not going to cause oil leaking into the spark plug hole. I may suspect oil MAY seep out from that gasket but you'll have oil reside outside the oil cap.

You need what was shown above ^ V.C gasket and oil plug seals.

See it drips off of where you put oil in at and on to the cylinder 4 plug wire then drips down on top of the plug. I know what a valve cover does is. The thing I'm talking about is under the plastic engine cover. It is rubber and surrounds the cap.

Go to a VW or Audi dealer. It's a few bucks.

Ok to help show what I am talking about I took some pics. The part number is chewed up and I can't read it. Every couple days I clean the oil off or I will get many CELs about misfiring (obviously). Thanks the suggestions and your time.

The first pics so you where the "gasket" is normally and now it drips into the cylinder 4 oil plug.

This pic is me pointing at the culprit.

And this one shows you the gasket removed.

never realized cyl 4 is that close to oil ?port?

I thought how close they are were ridiculous also.
Yeah I'm going to go to the VW stealer today hopefully they can help me. Last time I called them they said I had to have a part number because they are a VW Dealer not an Audi Dealer
