    update - on no start

    From last time-

    there is no fuel pressure,

pump is good, fuse is good, relay is good

so i assumed it was a bad ecu

turned out the ecu is working just fine - but when i have the key in the on position there is no CEL - i tried it with two ecu and both had no CEL

what else can i check or should i call it quits and just get the car to a mechanic

maybe its the wiring harness. You need a cel with the key on position.

You checked all of the fuses in the fuse box that power up the ecu? IIRC there are 3-4 of them.

how do you know the ecu is good? No cel usually points to an ecu issue.

He most likely tried it in another car and also tried a good ecu in his car, both car no CEL when he turned the key on which means the ecu's are not powering up when they are installed in his car.

Mike no disrespect but I asked how he decided not how one might. If that is what he did then he has a solid diagnosis. I was just wondering what he did.
