I'm not sure if we can get a discount for a group buy for "The ElmCanII-WLAN" if anyone is intrested in doing the research. It allows you to hook your iTouch/iphone to your car's ECU through a wireless network.

Re: check your VAG from your Itouch/Iphone

Any news? it seems pretty legitimate. The full application/software is about $50 but they have a free less useful yet baller application too. Its just the cable is a little to big for my pocket.

I don't even have an iphone/itouch but if we can get this going that can change quickly.

I'm def. in if there's a GB on this. I've been eyeing this for months now. Got the Rev lite version and it looks pretty promising.

Just get the new adaptor from PLX. It's shipping now and only $164 shipped. I just ordered mine.

This is to monitor info only correct? I don't suppose it will allow you to make any code changes will it? Very cool interface - tempting!

Re: check your VAG from your Itouch/Iphone

It's not a replacement for a vag-com, you can't access any vag specific control modules and change coding. You can monitor generic OBD2 readings related to emissions and check/clear CEL's among the other featurs on the devtoaster site linked above.

Yes, works just fine. You can monitor up to 5 sensors now with Rev and check CEL's and clear them. I tried on a friends BMW and it wouldn't clear them. But worked fine on my S4.

Bringing this back from the dead, there are multiple OBD-II bluetooth adapters on Amazon for like $15-25. I picked one up, and Movi has a demo version. I will check compatibility (with my 2009 MacBook Pro) when everything comes in. If it doesn't work - I spent $20. If it does, I will upgrade the Movi to standard or Pro.

It works with Movi Pro Demo (I will pay for it next week probably) - and I will let you know full results soon as I am on vacation. It will not work with DashCommand for iPhone, which sucks however - the rep there told me you need the WiFi version for that. They do have their supported ODBII hardware on the site, I just caught it late - the DashCommand is what I would prefer to run rather than have my laptop in the car. It is also 35 cheaper than MoviPro. But the $14.96 device works perfectly - no issues there.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I was already looking to buy the Bluetooth ELM 327 connector because I have a buddy who has an extra droid phone he is giving me so I can get Torque chat. It would be cool to be able to have another options to use it with than just the phone. Now that I know Movi works, I may looking into getting that as well.
