Description or pic of the difference b/w 6sp and 5sp downpipe brackets?

I have a 6-speed Milltek that must be fitted to my 5-speed car. Before I go and just figure this out with trial and error, does anyone know the difference between the downpipe brackets?

Obviously a pic would be immensely helpful, but I'll take a description or even guesses.

    Thanks!

Milltek HFC arrived today. Pure sexorness. Id like to get his on the car tomorrow but if it involves welding I need to get new wire and different gas mix first.

I fitted a 6sp apr exhaust to my 5sp. The bracket isnt connected because its clocked differently. It probably puts some stress on the entire assembly but I havent had any problems to date. knock on wood

Re: Description or pic of the difference b/w 6sp and 5sp downpipe brackets?

    Update for the archives:

Here is a pic of how a 6 speed Milltek downpipe looks on a 5 speed trans. As you can see, the lollipop for the 5 speed is not even close to the bracket on the downpipe. I do know that the 6 speed lollipop is quite a bit longer than the 5 speed, but even then it would never reach.

My solution was to fab a ~6" long extension using some galvanized mild steel. It needed two bends and seems to be working well. The exhaust is rock solid now. (I have a pic of this but forgot to upload it to photobucket from my laptop, and will add it later)

    To make this you need:
-piece of steel ~6" long. Preferably stainless or galvanized, untreated will be a mess once it rusts.
    -sharpie marker
    -5/16" drill bit
-one M8 bolt and one M8 locking nut. Cannot be nyloc for obvious reasons. I used a spare manifold nut that was sitting around my garage
-vise and hammer to make the angles.

Basic technique is to drill one end, attach it to the lollipop and then draw markings where the bends will be.. bend and re-fit until it sits well and flush. Then straiten the lollipop until they are all in line, mark a spot to drill the lower hole, drill and bolt it up. DONE.

Any questions PM me. I hope this helps someone in the future.

NO i meant "clocked" i.e at a different degree of rotation. Like when folks say that they clocked their turbo. But a local muffler shop has rectified the issue for me.

So for the consensus on this thread, a 6-speed a4 cat back exhaust fits a 5-speed a4. So I could venture to guess a 5-speed exhaust system would fit a 6-speed a4!?!?!

Looking into a APR Cat-back exhaust system that is fitted for a 5-speed A4 1.8T, if I buy it, it should work on my 6-Speed A4 1.8T with a little fabrication!?! If so you just made my day..

Bumping this old ass thread for one reason:

How does that spring bolt assembly go back on? I did my clutch and took off the DP and didn't remember the order of the spring bolt assembly. I'm a 6-speed.

Could someone explain it please similar to this:

bolt -> dp bracket -> tranny bracket (lollipop I guess?) -> Washer -> spring -> sleeved bushing thing -> nut

I believe I assembled mine this way, and I've got a nasty rattle and lots of vibration at low RPMs making me think its related to me assembling the spring bolt wrong. thoughts?

    ETKA pic for good measure:

Edit: I may have just answered my own question here.

Looks like its Bolt -> Washer -> Spring -> Trans Bracket -> Sleeved washer -> DP Bracket -> nut

    Carry on...
