Carbon fibre fabric to redo interior trim

So I'm getting tired of the interior trim in the car, right now it is dark brown wood. The other car has CF trim, and it looks really nice.

Came across this CF fabric some guys have been using here and for their BMWs. It looks pretty easy to do, just spray some adhesive and then wrap your trim up like a Christmas present, then trim with a knife.

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251057

The supplier on e90post can sell the fabric for about $35 a yard, but the flat rate shipping is also $35 on top (up to four yards)

Does anyone else want to buy some CF fabric and we can then split the cost of shipping? According to Brian Fournier, he says we just need one yard for Audis. Therefore estimate about $44 US for CF, plus a can of 3M spray adhesive for this project

Hmmm, i would like to try this on the center of my cupra splitter. So 35$ for a square yard? (plus split shipping). Keep me posted, i'm very interested.

You're in Vancouver, so you'd have to split shipping with the Toronto crew, plus we'd have to ship again to you. Might not be worth it... instead you might just find some guys in Vancouver and split the $35 shipping between you

OK, I wrote back to EuroDyne who supplies the correct fabric, and if we have a US address it'll be $35 US for the first yard SHIPPED and $32.50 for the following yards... I think we should do this instead of splitting the $35 shipping between two people (so far)

I have a cousin who lives in Detroit, might just ship this stuff there and have him drive it back whenever he comes to visit. Do you know anyone who lives in Buffalo, or someone who is visiting Toronto soon that wants to be our CF mule?

    Hi,

Im in. Also I will pay extra if someone can install it for me too :)

I may need more than one yard since I want to replace all the woodgrain and also around my stereo (double din DVD) and the chrome gearshift.

Everyone I've PM'ed who has done this says it is DEAD EASY. Trust me, I am not the kind of guy that likes hassles - if it were a difficult DIY i would leave my wood trim in a heartbeat

You guys should PM Orangelmo, he took over this mini-group buy and had a bunch shipped to NYC - i think he has ONE extra yard left over!
