Just bought Milltek Exhaust. Neep opinions on Tip size

I just got a smoking deal on a milltek exhaust through Evoms and this version comes with the monsterous tips. 100mm to be exact. They also have 70mm tips that they can provide me instead. What do you think?

Keep in mind I do have a DTM rear bumper that is still waiting for paint, so Im thinking the tips will fit nicely in the dtm cutouts, but maybe too big for stock.

i have 100s on my stock b6 bumper and they look fine, i think it kinda looks weird with anything else because there is so much room without the 100s

Ok, good. I really liked my old Milltek set up on my B5 as seen below:



The reason I decided to go with them again on the B7 is because of the stealthy sound. I like a more aggressive sound, but its too attention grabbing, which can not be good in certain circumstances. Plus with a test pipe involved it makes things even more audible.

The 100's look good on all the cars you posted, I'd say go for it. Oh an make sure to post up pics of the dtm rear when you get it on.

Drove a buddies B6 S4 with 100mm tip..................look large at first look but then all it just makes sense. I know thats an odd answer..........go 100, sweet look

Yes, Milltek resonated is the quietest.

Do's 100's if you don't you'll regret it. They fill in the space of the valance so well.

those 100mm tips look pretty big, but they seem to fill out the rear valence very well. It will especially look amazing on a DTM rear being that the exhaust valence holes are higher up and more rounded/curved (i think?)...i have some 3.5 inch vibrant tips im putting on next week so im hoping they'll look good

I really like the 90mm the most. It came as a standard Milltek option for the B6 90mm or 100mm.
The ones on HIDs car look like stock tips tho.....

Although the 100mm tips looks great, seems like it sits too close to the rear valence. How much clearance is there for movement vibration of the exhaust? What about heat issues, wouldn't that cause the paint to crack and peel in time?

I've got a milltek exhaust with 90mm tips. The two options were 90 and 100mm tips, are you sure about the 70mm ones? They would look small imho. 90 ones look nice but I could do with the 100mm ones. The back of our cars is big, they wouldn't look out of place! :)

I think those look really good actually. They fill the exhaust cutouts perfectly, sort of like the RS4.

just so you know the stock one's are about 80mm (just over 3 inches) in total outside diameter, pretty much exactly 3 inches (76.2mm) if you measure from the middle of the rolled tips.
