program to burn with and dvd to use

im trying to get the north america navi files onto a disk for my car and i have tried several burning programs and also have tried dvd-r dvd+r and now dvd+r dual layer and nothing works. for dvd-r my computer reads no disk found. for dvd+r my computer will burn the files onto but it is not large enough to hold the 5.1gb of navigation files. so i thought for sure a dvd+r dual layer (over 8gb) would work, but it also tells me that there is no disk found.

my question is, what program and type of dvd am i supposed to use to burn my navigation files onto to use with my b7's navigation? thanks for any answers!

bump. i assume that my problem lies with my computer drives im trying. because im trying dual layer dvd+r's and they should work but my computers just say their is no disk in the drive.

i burned mine fine. It was a 2008 navi disc. I had a orginal copy and i pretty much just copyed it. I used a dvd r dl. you have to use a dual layer i found that out. But i just did a straight copy with nero and works fine i have a 2nd copy for backups.

I had the same issues before, no navigation disk found.

use NERO(Trial works too~) remember to set the recording DVD BookType to DVD-ROM, also use DVD-DL +R
