    Problem bleeding the brakes.

I took off the calipers to paint them and put everything back together and am trying to bleed the brakes and all i'm getting is air and very small fluid and the brakes are going down to the floor everytime. It's not building any type of pressure. I did a search and all i read that could help me is that on our cars you start with one closest to the resivoir. Even while trying to bleed the brake the piston is not even closing in on the brake pads, like nothing is happening. Any ideas of what i'm doing wrong, this is a new car to me so might be something i don't know that i'm not doing...thanks

edit: i'm using the pump brakes 2 person method

what method are you using? you are supposed to have someone put pressure on the pedal while you crack the bleed screw. close the screw after a couple of seconds then tell the person in the car to pump the brakes again. Thats if you are not using any air tools or anything.

are they holding the pedal all the way down until the screw is closed?if the let go of the pedal while its open it will create a vacuum and suck air into the system

there is a lot of air in the system or the brake pads were not installed correctly. Make sure you did not/do not suck the reservoir completely dry. If you do or did then you have air stuck in your master cylinder or abs control module. This can be a bitch to get all the air out of and can take lots of fluid and multiple bleeding attempts to get all the air out.
