Do you have the equipment? My parents run a huge production powdercoating facility in Toronto and some of their suppliers include shewin Williams, prism powder coating and protech powder coating

Sears was selling a powder coat gun and powder coat in like 5 colors.

Is powder coating as easy as using a spray gun?

yes its that easy....you just need an oven to cure the powder, or a toaster oven if the parts are small.

harbor freight has a very small selection of colors....

Eastwood has a good selection, as does Columbia Coatings.

For how long does the item need to cure and at what temperature should the oven be set at? Thanks.

a few hours, like baking a turkey.

a buddy of mine went and bought a oven at a yard sale and the harbor freight gun for $50 on sale and has been turning out some pretty nice little parts. Not bad for a total of $70.

    Strut bars/IC piping/ different mounts/ springs/ shifters/ shift knobs/ pedal covers/ brackets/ brake calipers.

it does NOT need to cure for a few hours...

typically you preheat the oven to 400 degrees, then spray the part, and place the part in the oven....keeping an eye on it until the powder begins to 'flow out'( which is when it visibly turns from a powder into a gelly-ish form, tough to explain, lol) then once the flow out occurs...it takes about 15-20 MINUTES to cure. remove from oven, let cool off...install.
