Cold mornings and noisy power steering?

Whats going on with my power steering? It seems that when its real cold here low 20's my power steering makes a lot of noise. My car is a 03 audio A4 avant with the 3.0. Any help with what this problem could be would be great. Is maybe the fluid getting real thick and making it hard on the pump or something?

STFA! At least go check the level of the fluid, there is a 99% probablility that it needs fluid.
