What spacers to run on ET42?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
What size and brand spacers should I run on 18x8 ET42 rims?
I currently run 18x8 ET35 and that is perfect.
Does this mean that with 7mm spacer on each side it will be equal to ET35?
Hope someone can assist me here.

It would work better without spacers.. unless you like the look.. stock sline 18x8 wheels are 43 offset.. so if you don't run spacers you are less likely to rub.. but then again like I said.. if you like the look..

ET35 is for the look. I have the stock ET42 rims on winter and they are way way in there! Don't like that look.

Re: What spacers to run on ET42?

You should go a little mroe than 7 mm. 8.5 inch width wheels are flush in the front and tucked about 3 mm in the rear on a +35 offset. Whatever .25 inches is...[calculator: 6.35 mm]
You can go 13 mm, if my math hasn't made some stupid mistake.

Re: What spacers to run on ET42?

I had 15mm H&R Spacers on the rear wheels and they worked fine. No vibrations or anything. I tried to put some 5mm on the front, but we couldn't get them to fit on the hub correctly and they caused some pretty bad vibrations.

    Thanks. Will look into it.
I currently run 18x8 ET35 and if I come any more out it will not pass the EU inspection.........Pretty flush as it is.

You won't have to worry about rubbing with the Sline suspension. As for brand, can't go wrong with H&R. I have ECS tuning spacers and very happy. I have also used Ichiban (sp?) brand and was fine too.

Re: What spacers to run on ET42?

You need to make sure that whatever spacers you seed running are hubcentric. They don't make hubcentric spacers in 7 or 13mm. I would go with 10mm all the way around. That's what I ran on my 18X8s. That's gonna put you right at 32mm and should work fine.
