Hey I'm new to this form, just wanted to introduce my self to everyone. Whats up my names mike I'm 17 and form long island. I just got my first car in November a Back Audi A4 B7 2.0T Quattro 6Speed and i absolutely love it. I have a couple of plains in mind for it (Springs, Rims, Exhaust, Chip,intake). So far its stock with 15%tints.

My car is identical to yours, all i can say is take care of it. Don't do anything stupid, don't drive drunk, don't use it to do stupid stuff, and remember u drive a 35k+ car. I've had the car since i was 17 as well, brand new, and i'll admit i have done stupid things, and i regret them. Be modest with your car, don't act like tough sh*t bc you drive it and always count ur blessings...

But welcome to the club...people are generally nicer here compared to most boards out there. Ur car looks nice with the tints, where'd ya get em? Long Island here too...lookin to get them done also.

really lol i was just saying bc when do u here of a 17 year old paying for a 23k car by them self? and i did get it tinted more then once... my driver side window did peel once already b.c of the cold weather so i got it re tinted.

Age is irrelevant. As long as you don't do stupid stuff like go 150+ mph on the LIE, get a two ticket [Speeding + tints], and complain here, you will fit in fine. Good starting car lol. That reminds me, I still need to do a formal introduction...

ya dude i got this car when i was 17, now im 18. its not chill, cops hate you and so do people with not as nice of cars. if you get pulled over you will get a ticket most likely. for a 17 year old to have this car its pretty much shitty in every aspect (dont get me wrong about how nice this car is im just saying a kid shouldnt have this car) unless you get in a gnarly crash (probably will save your life) and of course girls like them over evo's and such.

by the way i live in or very near one of the richest areas in the country (along with tons of other people in these forums), and i still get shit for having this car at my age. people dont get that at 45k miles, the value is dramatically decreased.

oh sh** did you get any tickets for them? ya your stories from your highschool were f'ed up i remember that.

blackice, dont mean to put anything down but my advice to you is remember not to push the limit with the car because your parents, friends, and the law will come down harder on you if anything bad happens because of your car.

thank you! i laugh every time people call it "tints". i think it stems from the jersey/long island IROC days with mullets and gold chains, and tight jeans.

Maybe hes financing...or maybe his rents bought and he pays them...

My rents have bought my previous cars for me, and I pay them thru payments. Its cheaper in the long run and im very greatful...I know not everyone has this option, but my dad is 71 and learned a long time ago, if you can own it right away, its cheaper in the long run..Plus when you lease, you cant really mod, unless you want to change it all bk to stock..

Does age really matter? Who cares who bought it? As long as you appreciate what you have and take care of it, thats what counts. This kid is enjoying the car and has found the first stop to becoming an Audi enthusiast. He isnt some 17 year old punk that could care less if its an a4 or a 3 series, beats the shit out of it because he wants to trade it in on the next thing his spikey haired boys or chunky skeevy girlfriend think is cool.
