Front rebar

Is it necessary to have the rebar screwed back into the bumper? Can you just have the rebar screwed into the supports and just secure the front with the 6 nuts in the fenders?

That is how the ER support works that is include in their Full Competition kit, so its not an issue doing it with the stock rebar.
