Test Drove 09 A4 Last Night...

I'm looking at getting a 2009 2.0 A4 TFSI Premium Plus. The way the car felt was extremely disappointing. I don't know what I was going to expect, but it felt really slow. The handling was goo, but not as good as a BMW 3 Series. Overall, I had mixed feelings.

I'm aware that it only has 211 hp, but with mods and some work that can get bumped up. I only just read that the 2.0's are FWD. Weren't all quattros suppose to be AWD? I'm pretty much stuck between the A4 and a 328i Coupe. I love the way a BMW drives, but I wanted something different and I was hoping the new Audi was going to be it.

So, any advice on which way I should go? It also helps that BMW offers the first 4 years or 50,000 miles no cost for maintenance deal.

obviously you are concerned about power and handling. get a b7 s4 or if you want to go the bmw route, get a used 335xi

btw, all quattro cars are awd

when i test drove the A4, i wasnt dissappointed at all but wasnt all happy either... than again i drove a auto which i hate and between auto and mt is night and day... so im waiting for it to come out in mt in the states (Florida) so i can drive it, and i already know once i drive it in mt ima get one cause they are so sexi and eye catchin...

Plus idk about you but i wanted a BMW at one point but im tired of seeing one every where i drive and at every stop light, thats what drives me away from them cause every has them... i like being different and Audi is the way to go in my opinion esp. since i feel like Audi look 10x better than a BMW...

what kind of maintenance warranty offers? i dont care of the price just curious

audi doesnt have one but they used to.

bmw has their 4yr/50,000m free maintenance thing but its stupid because what is expensive that needs to be done before 50k? nothing besides oil and tire rotations

it isn't the fastest thing... I wasn't expecting it to be? Isn't that what the S4's are known for? It has enough power to get moving and has a decent amount of acceleration for what it is(power to all 4 wheels).

I bought this car for the good fuel economy, looks, and what it had to offer. I guess BMW is still the "ultimate driving machine" for ya!

Talking past and present BMW owner....and on order a ........

2009 Audi A4 2.0T 6 speed manual, Brillaint Black, Navigation, Prestige and S-LINE package. My last car was a BMW 330 i with sport package and I recently leased a 2008 BMW X5....I definately love the way a BMW drives so iI though it would be an easy decision when i needed another vehicle....then i started to think about how my 330i was in the snow, sleet and any other type of foul weather(i live in NY) and on two occasions i had to leave my car on the side of the road because it would not move in about a inch of snow/ice. I was always stressed when the weather was going to be crappy. I then decided to go with the audi..which i think gives you a little of everything as opposed to alot of one thing(like power in the 335). I actually could have leased the 335 coupe cheaper then what i am getting the audi on lease.....but then again, i dont like to see somebody in the same car next to me at every light. I live in a area where i see alot of luxury cars and i almost never see the Audi's...but when i do see one coming at me, the led's definately have my head turning.

youd be surprised how much an oil change is for a bmw/audi etc. same with brakes... which are included in the bmw warranty/maintenance. however, if youre looking into an audi, audi offers Audi Care, its similar to the BMW's but you gotta pay for it and it doesnt cover brakes. If you get Audi Care when you buy the car, its about $385. When you split that into 36 months of payment, its $10 a month. I recommend it. Good luck with either car.
