bulb out warning every now and then

When I bought my audi, it had a burned out DRL holder on the passenger side. I guess the original owner might have put aftermarket lights in that weren't good for it. I've since replaced the holders on both sides (The holder is Black instead of white) and I still get the bulb out warning every now and then. If I get it...I just turn off the car and restart it again to have it go away. It's not a problem, but very annoying. I was wondering if anybody has had this problem and if there is a solution to this. Do I have to reset the ecu some how? I'm chipped by the way.

You get a dipped headlight warning? If so tons have this problem, just do a search. Most likely ballast.

yeah...I've read about that. But that has only happened to me once. I'm talking about the bulb out warning when i start the car. It's definitely associated with the DRL. Not sure why it only happens sometimes though...not all the time.

So it only happens when you start it? Just today I got a plate lamp warning after hitting a nice hump on the freeway, and then it went away. Only seen that once since I installed the ultra bright bulbs back there. Gotta be a loose connection that I need to check out. Good luck man.

I get a left fog light out indicator (at least I think it's the fog light) very rarely. It happens when I'm driving usually after at least 15 minutes or so. The warning turns off when I restart the car. I have always attributed it to me messing with my headlight controls so that I can have only the city lights on with my fog lights.

Yup...this only happens when I start the car. It never happens while I'm driving. I do sometimes get an airbag warning while driving but that sometimes goes away by itself and def goes away when I turn off the car. Is this worth taking to the dealer to look at? It's quite an annoying thing. I hate it when my car is not at it's best.

the exact same thing is happeneding to me although it's because one of my ziza led's are broken. i guess they don't have any in stock yet to replace it so till then i found a fix. i leave my lights on manual setting and after my car starts, i turn on the lights. never a bulb out warning that way. it's not a permanent fix to your solution, but it's better than turning your car on, off, then on again.
