Which years had the Sat radio antenna in the sharkfin?

I got XM put on my Avic-Z1, however the install guy claimed there was no factory pigtail for an antenna in the sharkfin. I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that all 04.5+ had the sat radio antenna in there. Can anyone confirm? Right now i have the XM antenna on my dash but reception is intermittent.

i'd like to know too because i have the spot in my trunk for the sirius (now sirius/xm) receiver and was thinking about getting it. and i have the sat radio button on my symphony II and am wondering what hardware/ installation is necessary

I have the factory sat radio with no other antennas than my sharkfin on my '05.

05 B6 with only a sharkfin and i have stock Sat radio.

Unless I've been lied to, all sharkfins have the sat antenna in them. They just aren't wired any further than the headliner by the back pillar. Perhaps he didn't look far enough?
