    Coolant Leak

Tried one previous post, but no answer, so I'll try again.

Have a slight coolant leak. Also, just got an oil analysis done that shows higher (65 compared to previous 4) rating for sodium. This indicates coolant in oil. I can't see any indication by looking.

So, I assume this means either bad oil cooler, or head gasket. Is there anything else to consider? Is there a way to confirm one or the other? Is there a link on removing/replacing the oil cooler?

Am I jumping to the wrong conclusion that I have an imminent problem?

    Thanks.

If the oil has coolant in it, it'll taste a little sweet. Not that i'm recommending it, nor will it taste like chocolate sweet but a little hint. I don't mean to drink the stuff but put a little dab on your finger then once you get the taste spit it out. How many miles is on your car? Head gaskets are notorious for leaking.

I've only got 65K on the clock. I don't think I've driven her hard, but did live in Germany for 3 yrs and drove pretty fast. I did a stage 3 in Mar 07. I'm hoping it is not the head gaskets.

when you change your oil I've been told if there is coolant in your oil (because it's more dense) it'll come out first. So take a look...it'll obviously be lighter (in color) than the motor oil.
