I was wondering if anyone knows if the trim around the windows can be removed. If so, I was wondering if anyone wanted to trade with me, I have the chrome, and I want the black that comes on the titanium package.

    Re: Chrome Trim

I really think you're going to have a tough time getting a trade. You're most likely going to have to add some sort of cash incentives, but even then I really think you'll be hard pressed to find someone who will do the swap.

You could always black out the trim yourself by wrapping it in vinyl (I think there's a DIY around here somewhere) or if you don't mind dropping some cash you could get it from here:

Anyways, good luck with the search.

    Re: Chrome Trim

Lol I love how Audi charges more for rubber molding around their door than the chrome, when they're charging more to have chrome trim on the b8 than the standard black trim.

Definitely not the only one, I had a black loaner the other day and was noticing how well the chrome went with the black.

    Re: Chrome Trim

I have the same ghosting/water marks. Does anyone know how to clean it off? Is it even possible? It almost seems like it's under the coating.

Check out the vinyl tape option. I guess it's tedious but looks rad.

    Product called "Brasso"

Used it religiously in bootcamp to clean EVERYTHING that had a shine... works wonders and isn't abrasive!!
