Road Trip MPG Report

So I put about 750 miles on the odo last weekend and averaged an acceptable 24.5 MPG. That included 1.5 days of putting around SF the East Bay. Not too bad, right???

I'm due for a new fuel filter and plugs, so that should yield a bit more efficiency.

Oh...and I got a speeding ticket for 70 in a 55 about 15 miles from home.

iv found that i average about 28 to 30 at about 60 to 65. what was your average speed. now that you mentioned it i might need to replace the fuel filter air filter and do some other maintainence to improve my mpgs

I get about 28-30 as well between 60-75ish. 40psi on tires and just be smooth on gas. Accelerate on downhills, loose some speed going up hills.

My mixed daily average in Miami is 23mpg.

Eh! I drove 2000 total miles from CA to ID and back. Stock 2K S4(only K&N and resonator + muffler removed....straight pipe mods), avg. speed....80mph. got 28mpg. This was done in the summer w/max tire pressure on 91oct w/trunk, front and back seat full of gear. Top speed though Bonneville(not pushing it hard) 140mph.
