Craig P. Kenney
http://www.cpklaw.com/ helped me out twice. They weren't too interested in hearing any kind of story or excuses and why I was right (even though I wasn't) and why the police were wrong. At the time it was kind of "assembly line" service, lady yelled "Next" "Okay, here's what we will do. Next."
That being said, I was satisfied with the results though. My stupid ass did a wheelie on my R6 right in front of a Henderson unit. Henderson, at least at the time) doesn't play the reduce to a parking ticket and just pay a fine game...maybe they do nowadays. But it did at least get reduced from 8 points to 4 points and slightly less fine. Las Vegas, however, is a different story they seem very inclined to reduce to parking ticket, no pionts, pay fine and be on your way.
I was doing a rather high rate of speed on 215 (that DAMN R6!) and got pulled over. I was going fast but not thaaaaat fast...maybe 90...and when I pulled over I flipped up my visor because it was fogging up (this was about 3 years ago in December) so the cop tried to say not only was I speeding but he wrote ON THE TICKET I had no eye protection and then for the rate of speed he put down how fast HE was going in order to catch me. I tried to explain to him that it wasn't possible that I was riding with my visor up because the wind would rip it right off (yup it's happened before) and that it was too cold for me to physically be able to ride with no eye protection and also how fast he was going has nothing to do with how fast I was going. If he didn't do at least 1 1/2 to twice my speed he would never pull anyone over. You aren't going to chase someone by only going 10-15 mph faster than they are..."Just you wait, I am gonna pull you over.....eventually"
This was the ticket that I thought I had a good chance at fighting since there was no way I was doing 125 (according to him) with no eye protection, my eyes would be so watery I wouldn't be able to see. Craig P. Kenney law firm wasn't interested in hearing my story just "do you want it knocked down and pay parking ticket or if you want to fight it be prepared to pay court fees and possibly lose" "Um...I will take the parking ticket please". Done Deal!
