Where has all the fluid gone?

My car drinks about a bottle of washer fluid a week, which I know is abnormal. Is this a common problem with our cars / What could possibly be leaking?

I'd rather pay a buck or two to fill it up with washer fluid every week than give audi a friggin fortune to fix it .. so hopefully its an easy fix.

    mine too.

You gotta remember it runs out so quick because it sprays the headlights and windshield

Make sure your pump(s) are seated tightly into the reservoir. Happened to me.

Or just turn your headlights off when you go to wash your windshield... correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it only cleans them when the headlights are on.

I thought mine was frozen but I checked today and have nothing but have no light. Weird. I'm shaving the headlight washers off next week when I put my new bumper on

Re: Where has all the fluid gone?

I had mine leak from the rubber seal that seats in the reservoir where the pump plugs in to. Check to make sure the reservoir itself is not warped at that connection where the rubber seal pops in or else it will continue to leak even with a new seal put in there...

Re: Where has all the fluid gone?

Check all of your lines and connections. There is a 'T' in your washer lines that goes to the headlight washers that you can check just by looking at the inside of your bumper when the hood is open, and maybe at most remove your right headlight. If you've lost a metal clip on your lines, just replace it with a worm clip.

Re: Where has all the fluid gone?

Yeah the damn fluid leaks somewhere along the lines to the headlight washers. Mine still leaks but I dont use em much cause Im in Cali... maybe 3 times a year I would need em and they mess up my black paint.... sooo I work around it.

However the problem was frequent enough that it should have been recalled. I missed knowing that soon enough to get em fixed under warranty.
