    Angry Car got keyed!!!

Honestly, who does that? I parallel parked my car in downtown, Orlando, last Sunday and came back after a night of partying to a key scratch about 4 ft. long from the driver side door all the way to the back. I had my mechanic look at it and he told me it's too deep to buff it out. Great! Spending anything over $300 is not an option to me right now as I am pretty broke. I do have a stick of touch-up paint I got from Audi a year ago that I am thinking about using to at least mask some of the damage. I figured that I could use a toothpick to dab in the paint in the crack. Anyone have any tips? I tried scratch removing compounds such as Meguiar's and QUIXX without success.

    Thanks in advance...

I use to detail cars you have to try and use various stages of buffing with deep cutting compound to light glaze. This might help a little by if it is to the metal than you are out of luck. If you are not use to using a high power buffer don't you can burn your paint and cause more damage

damn haters, find out who did it. Pound their face in, regardless who it is. Then take their $$ to fix the physical and emotional damages! LOL

    Re: Car got keyed!!!

I'll be posting pics when I get home today. Unfortunately, the a-holes did a very good job and took it all the way to the metal. I guess I'm stuck to dabbing in some touc up paint here and there until I can afford the repair. =( Let me know if you know anyone or anything that might help.

What color? You could mask off the scratch and spray on a coat of touch up paint from the dealer, then blend the edges with rubbing compound. The dealer has a base color/clear coat spray paint you can order it's about $50, as a 2 can kit.
