Broken Door Clip mount / JB Weld ? Something better

One of the standoffs where the door clip mounts is broke off. I have the broken off piece so looking to put it back in place if possible.

Do you think JB Weld will hold it or is there something better?

JB Weld FAQ says it won't work on Polypropylene plastic or Polyethylene plastic. Not sure what type of plastic these door panels are.

I'm not sure exactly about the door clip mount but I can say with my experience, JB weld gets the job done... It isn't professional but hey it works. I used it on my sunroof deflector and it's been holding now for a few weeks. I don't use my sunroof anymore lol but I have used a few times just to test the "weld" and it works perfectly. Hope that helps

Can you post a pic? You can try plastic epoxy over the jb weld...

    Here's a pic

You can see it just broke the top off, the part that holds the clip. I doubt the repair will be tested when I put the panel on, its when I have to take it off next time that I'm concerned about.

I have some 5 minute expoy, maybe that would be better than JB Weld for this plastic?

5 minute epoxy still requires 24 hours to bond completely.

Not too considered about curing time (5 minute epoxy), more concerned about which product will repair the plastic the best.

I wouldnt worry too much about that clip....One one of my doors, I only have 2 clips holding the door in place and you would never know.

plastic epoxy sucks ass. jbweld is far superior (even though it is epoxy based, lol)
