I think a lot of people like the JHM short shifter, they have great service. But just use the search function, there are a few recent threads regarding short shifters.
You represent the idiocy of today.

for the money, i think the KMD SSK is very good. i see that you are in the NY/NJ area. KMD Tuning is in NJ. it is nice to have the local vendor to be available for this type of product.

You won't find much of a discount on the JHM units are they are relatively new to the market. You can wait for a sale to pop up and save a few dollars. Trying to find a used one is going to be very difficult.

If you wanted to save some money the AMS and Stratmosphere Hypershift units are both quality alternatives.

I had an AMS 40% reduction shifter and loved it.

The JHM shifter has been out for quite some time. IMHO you are never going to find a sale on it cause you don't discount parts out that you are not gouging people on.

I have a auto but 100% of the people that get JHM seem to be happy. Its a solid shifter so in the past it has been harder then the standard shifter to install. I have helped a few people install there's tho with no issue.

I have purchased other JHM products and I can say the build quality and service you get is second to none. I'm sure there are several guys on here that will say the same.

Strat and other shifters are available. But try talking to them about the product that they probably don't make in house. You won't get much of there time. IMHO you will get about as much of there time as they put into the shifter....not much....But that's my 02.
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

JHM powered 12.2 On the JHM Tune With Launch Assist for the Automatic JHM Nitrous kit/JHM headers all this in a Automatic.

And lastly for the grammar police that are bound to step in
I came here from Germany in the 6th grade. I could not read or write a lick of English. I am working to get better. Thanks and sorry. I always try to edit my posts for the best grammar and easiest reading.

Re: Who makes a good short-shifter...

Just buy the JHM one. They have NOS in the works for us, and even better they talked of designing us headers - so just support them. I've heard nothing but positive feedback about them. How many companies have you ever heard of letting you return your version 1.0 part and trading you straight across for version 2.0 for no charge?

I highly suggest you watch this video to better understand how our shifter out-performs ANY other by many margins.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2TzMGvfRo8

The video shows a B5 S4 shifter but the concept is the same. We have an industry exclusive bearing pivot design with a solid steel shaft and a solid steel linkage connection base. The bearing design eliminates the plastic/sloppy feeling and the extra weight helps you flow into each gear. This isn't just a new shaft and bottom base to give you a shorter throw, it is a completely new shifting assembly retro-fit - Made the way it should have came from the factory.

All of this for $15 dollars more than our competitors. We also make all our products in the U.S.A. Who do you think has the greater profit margin?
