    Buying an A4...

as soon as I find the one I want. I currently have a BMW 330 ZHP, but have decided that I want to make the switch to Audi. My dilemma, I want a white on black 6-spd (manual) with nav (and brushed aluminum trim). I swear this combination is more rare than any exotic car out there!! I do like the dolphin gray exterior, but I would kick myself if I didn't get the white. Am I crazy? Do you see much of this combination? Can someone post some teasers for me to...ummmm...

If you're looking for a sedan, you'll have a much easier time of finding one of them than I did finding a red A4 Avant with a manual transmission. Are you looking for a 2.0T or a 3.2?

Looking for the 2.0T. I haven't even a white manual yet. Is it possible to pick up the oem nav without it being optioned with the car?

Yup, it's going to be very difficult to find a car exactly like that, you'll probably have to make some sacrifices in your search or you might be waiting around a long time. I'd suggest you to sacrifice something like the navigation as that can easily be replaced with a RNS-E after the fact, or even the interior trim as that can be replaced as well. However make sure to hold out for things like the manual transmission and black interior as those would be difficult swaps.

Check this thread out for pictures of some nice white B7's:

Anyways, GL with your search, and have fun with your Audi once you find her.

EDIT: Also make sure you're getting a quattro!

    Re: Buying an A4...

I'd imagine that it will be difficult in Iowa. Be prepared to travel, and do a search on autotrader.com, cars.com, craigslist, etc. You can even try checking Audi CPO inventory from Audi website.

Plenty of people have added the factory Navi system on their own. There's kits for sale which include the Navi, wiring, and GPS antenna. There's likely a how to posted somewhere on the forum.

Really it's just difficult to find a MT with heavy options like Nav, in white nonetheless.

    Re: Buying an A4...

Yeah, I think I can subtract the nav and buy that later like A4A4A4 mentioned. The problem then becomes saving money for nav rather than performance...
