Normal engine temp, but the oil temp hoovers at 160 degrees. Is this normal?

Excuse the noobness, its my first Audi winter.

Mine is usually right at 175. It was approaching 200 while I was doing some awd donuts in the snow today.

Not too sure what the normal operating temp for these cars is.

its about 200-210* F... in colder weather it just takes longer to get there

Huh, maybe its a 1.8 thing, Mine refuses to get that hot. I drive maybe 40 miles a day max all together so maybe that has something to do with it.

The turbo will heat the oil a lot faster in the 1.8T then a natraully aspirated 2.8. Not sure which you have. Also staying out of boost and creeping along it takes about 15-20 minutes for me to get the gauge past 175ish. It will come up to 200-210 after 25-30 minutes.

Ever since I put a K04-015 and a HFC in; my engine runs cooler and in cold weather below 180. In town I run within normal temps but when I get on the highway it drops down to 160 or below, I always have heat. I have changed the temp sensor, thermostat, flushed the radiator no change and no error codes.

I should note that I don't use the heat so much because I have heated seats, understandably the engine will run cooler if the heater is running on max the entire time than if its not being used. My car probably comes up to temp quicker since I really don't use the defroster or heater very much
