lol its a brace for the snub mount bracket at the front of the motor i believe.

It is 100% intake manifold brace. If you take off the throttle body boot you will see the threaded hole that it bolted to. I have no idea whey they made it so robust.

ding ding ding, you are the winner. it comes lose about every month, i tightened it yesterday then beat the shit out of my car and it must have really vibrated.

Its because you have an AWM. The supports are different because of the accessory mount is difference to accommodate the internal water pump.

I'm pretty sure that's the brace that holds the (stock) turbo to the engine block, not the throttle body (the throttle body one is a lot chintzier)..but I've never seen an AWM one.

i have, and will again. but now i need to source new bolts becuase i forget/dont know the size of them.

anyhelp on bolt sizes?

its off an aeb/atw motor.

they are m8 bolts. you don't need the brace. I didn't put mine back on for 2 years.

Yeah, I think I took off just about every brace on the engine except for my snub mount on my car lol.. No issues, I run track density motor mounts too, so the motor vibrates like hell

yeah im running street density now. its was to cold and im to lazy to put it back on, i will in the summer when i rebuild my motor again.

also notice that one of my knock sensors was completly off so i found a bolt for that and put it back on.
