    N80 Purge valve help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have researched and come to the conclusion that my N80 is bad. it ticks pretty bad, and it sounds like i have a boost leak coming from that area. I noticed this after changing my spark plugs. Does anyone have any opinions on why this might have happened and where i can get a new valve. i have already tried genuineaudiparts.com and couldnt find it. thanks

ticking for the valve is normal. they are pretty loud, without hearing it unless you have purge faults or ldp faults I would not think it was bad. are you sure the plugs are all tight? with the poss. boost leak I would lokk at mvb 115 this will show act. & spec. boost. check that & let me know.

well the boost leak was before I changed the plugs and it just sounds like air is leaking from somewhere around the purge valve.

have you pressure tested the intake system? if you have vag com drive it and check mvb 115 at wot they should match. this is the easiest way to check to see if you have a leak.
