vag com question

im not to familiar with the whole process of gettin the car vagd, i mean i know it runs codes etc and i could go to the stealer but they charge. i guess what im really asking im looking at getting one and i see the usb vag cables w. a disc on ebay.. is this wat i need? i have a personal laptop if i need that too

you can get a generic cable from fleabay & run the old vagcom that does some of the stuff .

or you can order the real software from rosstech (w/ license), get the real cable and it will do everything. Ross-Tech.com

I have the Vag-com w/ the older key interface (usb) and also have a VAD which i actually use more than the vagcom since it is more convient for me. VAD Mobile
