How much would a used SK04 sell for?

just like the title says, how much should I pay for a used SK04. The turbo has roughly 40k miles on it from what I'm told.

$400-600 as high as $800 in the classifieds but greg offers good advice, its got a few miles so check it well

ive seen a lot of stuff in the classifieds sell for what more than what i personally would pay for a used part.. it just depends on your buyer..

Even if you find a SK04 unit that appears to inspect fine with minimal shaft play and seals that appear good, you should still be a bit weary. These turbos don't start to deteriorate, but their shafts just simply snap or bend..deeming the turbo useless. Because of the modified shaft load from the upgraded compressor wheel, it is more load than the shaft would like to normally see. As a result, structural integrity is adversely affected, which you cannot inspect for.

I have not seen a single modified KKK/Borg Warner "Hybrid" turbo ever last.

It looks like a regular K04, but housing has been bored out to accommodate a K24 wheel IIRC.
