In early 2000, the B5S4 came with aluminum uprights on each corner, clearly much lighter than the cast iron pieces used from 2000.5-2002 x4 pieces=a noticeable amount of weight savings. Also, to my knowledge, 2000 was the only year the "Sunroof Delete" option was available. The car doesn't have the cold weather package which includes heated seats, wash nozzles and mirrors nor control elements. Heck, I didn't notice at first but the car doesn't even have the home link.
I guess all those little details add up to a car that weighs significantly less the most of them which are loaded to the gills.
Other weight savings now, yet retain full weight bragging rights:
-OZ ULs on each corner at 18 lbs each.
-Full ASP exhaust, (one set of small 200 cell cats, one set of small resonators and one muffler) which is all much lighter than stock.
-ST-60s are larger yet lighter than stock.
That's about it but I'd bet my car weighs ~150-200 lbs less than the average B5S4.
