    Fuel pump specs please?

Bit elusive in the search area.
On the 2.0T engine. What are the Fuel pump specs? GPH and PSI please.

Just curious why we are stuck with an archaic mechanical unit? Requirements must be way out there from norms?

    Many thanks,
    Vince

    Re: Fuel pump specs please?

    Directly from APRs site

A low pressure fuel pump (which varies from ~40-95psi) delivers fuel from the gas tank to the engine. Then, in order to spray fuel directly into the combustion chamber, a high-pressure, camshaft-driven pump pressurizes the fuel to upwards of 130bar (almost 1900psi !).

I heard that upgrading the pump will wear put the cam lobe it rides on.

    Re: Fuel pump specs please?

    Appreciated.
Any chance of a US conversion so I can understand it? 1900 PSI is definitely way up there, but at how many gallons per hour? I don't see a duration rating in those specs Cubic Millimeter per what?
1900 PSI is pretty simple for A wobble plate pump, but maybe not the delivery volume?
I dont even know if a WP pump exists for a reasonable price outside the aviation industry, but it would be interesting to research.

    Thanks for the replies
