Convince Me...

So, I guess most of you know me as the Subaru guy of Audizine from my 17 or so posts haha. I went to Carmax just to check out what they had today and saw they had an A3 and I have liked them ever since I joined here and saw a couple real nice ones.

I am looking for a car but I have time; I dont need one within 5 weeks or whatever. I am planning on buying a used one and I just have a couple of questions that could possibly change me from owning an A3 instead of a WRX.

1. Can you get the A3 2.0T with Quattro? I read somewhere it was FWD; but you cant even get it as an option?

2. What are the deepest/best sounding exhausts? After listening to many WRX exhausts it's going to be hard for me to go with a car that isnt as deep as they are.

3. How reliable are they? I know its too early to tell since they came out around 07' but are repairs going to be super expensive and time consuming? Will they last as long as most of the Japenese cars in terms of mileage?

*Feel free to throw random facts/info in about them so I can compare the 2 as best I can*

Just as a note, I would like it to be a stick shift if that changes anything like the above.

I guess I am just going to have to have a more powerful car.

Have you driven the paddle shift? It's basically a 5dr version of the MKV GTI, and is a blast to drive.

No it's not a real manual trans, but for damn sure it shifts quick.

I haven't driven a Quattro A3 yet, but I'd like to. If I had the money to buy a new Audi, I'd have an S3 imported for me. Not much else is really giving me "that feeling" out of the line up.
Sure there are other good models, but I wouldn't want to spend MY hard earned money on them.

DSG... shifts faster then youll ever be able to with a manual FYI.

You wont get a deep sound like an exhaust on a WRX/STI, I know, I miss the sound of my WRX as well.

Paddle Shifters would be cool though and they are the 2nd best thing to a stick.

And yea, after looking at some exhausts I realized that it wont be as deep. The quad-tips though are some of the best looking exhausts I have seen.

the DSG in the 2.0TQ might be OK, but the FWD DSG sucks to me compaired to a 6 speed..
Rolling stop it always takes off in 2nd, then if you give it enough gas to go it downshifts and smokes the tires, the the traction control kicks in and gets quite dangerous when pulling out in traffic quickly... Manual mode does fix this..
