    Re: HP before turbo

well, Im probably the closest thing to it.

    I had a 2L, water/meth, 1+ file

Basically, since the stock turbo sucks, any power adders you do dont really add much. It felt peppier with the 2L, and the W/M helped, but idk overall how mcuh I really added, maybe 20whp

    Re: HP before turbo

Depends..You can always go the K04 route, FMIC, Bigger Injectors, Exhaust, and a more aggressive file......But the money you will spend on going K04, you can just go BT. Which is why I regret the K04, and am currently looking to go BT. =)
Everything but BT, you may get anywhere between 230-250 CHP....Just a guesstimate...good luck

    Re: HP before turbo

i think i had the most... with out a turbo upgrade... intake, exhaust, rods, fmic, stage 1+... oh yeah and a 75 shot of nitrous :) i dyno'ed at 175whp without the nitrous... so i'm guessing on the nitrous i was at about 225 to 250whp and my ftlb had to be some crazy high number... lol...

    Re: HP before turbo

1.8 or 2.0 with a K03 is still going to make the same power since the turbo can only flow so much air. Only thing you gain is more tq and the power band actually gets smaller since the hp will peak and fall off much sooner in the rpm's. I ran a K04 to break in my 2032cc back in 2003, it was no faster then my stock 1.8 K03 setup that ran 14.29 at 97 and made 200+awhp.

    Re: HP before turbo

everything except a BT...240-260hp/275-300tq at the flywheel. basically the range of a K03-K04 with all supporting mods. with a BT all of those numbers will basically jump to over 300.

wheel power will be dependent on dyno and drivetrain.
