RS4 diff?

Ok I know the differences between the A4 and RS4 BUT? With the wheels and suspension is the car sitting lower then a stock A4? Meaning lower suspension springs or what? I want to do some things to my Avant but not looking to spend a ton!

Is the suspension on the RS4 lower besides being stiffer?

yes it is lower than a stock A4, especially the non-sline..

You could not put them on the A4 though, at least not the front springs anyway. They are stiffer in order to compensate for a bigger and heavier engine. I would think that if you put the RS4 springs on an A4, it may actually be higher then the stock non-sline. Which would look terrible.

RS4 suspension sucks, search the RS4 and C5 RS6 forums. DRC dynamic ride control or Doesn't Repair Correctly

OP, RS4 suspension is calibrated for a different car, for several reasons. 1, the V8 is heavier than your engine, so the front of the car will sit higher due to less weight. 2, the Avant carries more weight over the rear axle, so the ride height in the back will not be the same as the sedan. 3, like Auditude mentioned, DRC sucks, and isn't worth transplanting. Pick up a good set of coils (Stasis StreetSports are like $950) and a set of 18" RS4 reps and you'll have the look you want with a much better package performance wise.

Wanted to change the title after I posted but couldn't figure out how so sorry for any confusion! But got way more info than I expected and thanks. I'm not looking to install the stock suspension from a RS4 just wondering about the stock set up and now I have my answer.

That's exactly what I did, even the rs4 reps are in 18". I'm also loving the setup looks wise and performance wise.
