I think my tip trans is modded

I have been reading up on the tip since I am now going to Ko4's and I think I am modded already. I bought the car about 3 months ago and have played with it a bit. If I am on the brake and raise the rpm, I can go a little above 3,000 rpm before it launches. I don't know what stock stall is but I'm guessing it's not that high. When in tip, and in 1st, if I go slow it'll shift to 2nd but if I downshift back to 1st, it'll stay there until I shift it. If I leave in 1st hard, it'll also stay until I shift it without upshifting to 2nd. Does it sound like it might be modded with either a recode or chip and a higher stall tc? I know the car has been vag'ed because the interior lights turn on in seqeunce (not all together) and the windows are programmed to go up or down with the remote.

most likely has the 00032 tip recode which is very common and very easy to do when you have vag com. as far as the launch at 3k that is stock because i can do that also and im stock tcu with the recode.

mine stalls the same but doesnt stay in 1st if u go back to it and hit redline

could you elaborate a little bit about this? is this where all the interior lights light up one after the other sort of like an airplane (ex: cluster, then dash, then radio)? I have heard rumors of this for the A4 but never seen anyone with it or actually know how to do it, so i was just curious.

yeah the airplane lights is a vag com mod. If you search it youl find it somewhere most likely on audiworld.

recode it sounds like, BUT Trust me rebuild your trans if you want to run full stg 3 power, mine failed out and I am having it rebuild, My 4/5 clutchs were done, and I was only running 415 WTQ at the time. Good luck

Yes, they come on like an airplane, cluster, the stereo, heater.

Sucks, I hoping it already had a tc, ohwell. I'll do the tc and vb when
i go full stage 3.
