So im in the process of changing my oil and noticed that the coolant is leaking (the liquid that I see smells like it and looks like it). I can see under the car where some of it was dripping and dried up. Its not dripping right now but I noticed the same thing the last time that I did my oil change. I didnt think anything of it since the coolant level was good at the time. Now tho, I have it below the "low" line and cant figure out where its dripping from. Anyone have any suggestions as to where it could be coming from or how I can check?

Its on the back of the block between the motor and firewall. You can find it by following the wiring harness down to the plug. Here is a DIY that may help. Clicky click

Thanks old guy!! Im going to go and take a look at it right now. I did forget to mention that I saw the dried coolant on the oil pan and the front sway bar so I'm a little skeptical that its the coolant flange but like I said, Im going to go and take a look at it.

Look real close to see if it is coming from the front of the block. If so it may be your water pump. Mine started leaking around 80K miles. If it is coming from there you should consider replacing the water pump as well as the timing belt and tensioner since you will already have everything apart for the water pump. The pump is what usually trashes the timing belt.

    cheers!
