    I have never ever used the bleeder hold on tghe bottom. The one by the power steering pump is what i used.

    When i do water pump or flushes here isd what i do. Slide the heater hose so the hole is exposed crack the bleeder hole and pour coolant into the resrvor. The coolant will start comming from the bleeder hole, once that happens than you shut the bleeder. Start the car and let it idle til it warms up, go in and rev it til 1500rpm until the coolant starts comming out of the heter hose. Once that happens clamp the hose and you are done. Bleed it a few more times after thermostat opend and you are golden. I never had a problem doing it this way or any air in the system.

    That bleeder hole is on the top of the hose right?
