    Question Does Audi Have Driving Schools (Like BMW Offers)

    As the title says...do you have to go to the dealer for some info. Looking for a "club" or driving school fom audi like BMW offers.

    Most of the stuff they do is Audi USA and I dont recall the schools/track days reaching north of the 49th

    its the same as auto crossing, IMO its a waste of money, for a fraction of the cost you could go to local track events and learn the same stuff from (probably) the same people who teach the BMW course. race tracks have events for noobs who want to learn how to drive.
    the B5 S4 is like the mafia... there is only one way out!

    AFAIK, if you're looking for a club: http://canada.audiclubna.org/
    Some of their chapters organize events. Check the events tab.

    One of their events is specialized driving training (winter conditions, rallye, AWD control), you could try this: http://www.mecaglisse.com/

    They operate out of Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, 10 minutes from St-Donat in the Laurentians. I think they have a clinic coming up on Feb. 8th.

    The Audi winter driving experience is coming to the Mecaglisse site an hour north of Montreal on February 7th. and 8th. . The Audi Club is organizing a Winter Driving Clinic for teens, young drivers and drivers who are young at heart on Saturday the 7th, and a Winter Driving School for more experienced drivers on Sunday the 8th. .

    The Winter Driving Clinic sponsored by Shell is designed for the beginning driver and the driver who is hesitant or nervous driving in icy and slippery conditions. The clinic will teach you how to brake in emergency situations and how to control your car in a skid. Proper driver reaction is often counter intuitive. Train your instincts so that you will know how to react in an emergency. Participants will drive around the skid pad, slide their car and learn how to control the slide. They will practice emergency braking and accident avoidance. They will go through the slalom course and learn what happens when their car rotates from side to side. They will drive around a short course with a variety of turns and elevation changes and experience the pendulum turn made famous by experienced rally drivers. The emphasis of the clinic is on safety and speeds are low (you are on ice!). Driving on ice is fun!


    The Winter Driving School is designed for experienced drivers. Participants will explore the intricacies of under steer and over steer and learn how to control them through vehicle dynamics. They will drive through regular and offset slaloms at different speeds and learn how to steer with the throttle. They will drive the short course and learn how to perform the pendulum turn. They will then get the opportunity to drive the long course and put all their newfound knowledge together.


    Participants do not need to drive an Audi to participate. Join us in your BMW, Volkswagen, Honda, Chevrolet, Kia, or even your SUV.

    L'évènement de conduite sur glace du club Audi aura lieu au complexe Mécaglisse situé Ã* 1 heure au nord de Montréal les 7 et 8 février. Le Club Audi organise une clinique pour jeunes conducteurs et conducteurs jeunes d'esprit samedi le 7 février et une école de conduite sur glace pour conducteurs plus expérimentés dimanche le 8 février.



    La Clinique de conduite sur Glace commanditée par Shell a été conçue pour le nouveau conducteur et pour le conducteur hésitant ou nerveux sur conditions glacées et glissantes. Les participants apprendront Ã* freiner d'urgence et Ã* contrôler leur auto en dérapage. Les actions requises pour maîtriser la voiture sont souvent contre intuitives. Nous vous invitons Ã* apprendre les mouvements instinctifs qui vous serviront lors de situations d'urgence. Les participants déraperont sur le rond de glace et apprendront Ã* contrôler leur auto en conditions de glisse. Ils apprendront Ã* freiner d'urgence et Ã* éviter des obstacles. Ils circuleront sur le parcours de slalom pour découvrir la dynamique du mouvement de la balançoire. Ils seront initiés au virage scandinave pratiqué par les pilotes professionnels de rallye sur le petit circuit Ã* multiples virages. La clinique est axée sur la sécurité et les vitesses sont lentes (vous êtes sur la glace!). Venez découvrir la joie de la conduite sur glace!

    L'Ècole de conduite sur Glace vise le conducteur expérimenté qui veut peaufiner sa conduite sur surfaces glacées. Les participants pratiqueront le survirage et le sous virage et apprendront le contrôle en maîtrisant la dynamique de l'auto. Ils enfileront les parcours de slalom Ã* différentes vitesses pour apprendre Ã* changer de direction Ã* l'aide de l'accélérateur. Ils circuleront sur le petit parcours pour apprendre le virage scandinave. Finalement, ils conduiront sur le long circuit pour mettre en pratique tous les nouveaux mouvements de contrôle sur glace.

    Les participants n'ont pas l'obligation de conduire une Audi. Venez vous joindre Ã* nous en BMW, Volkswagen, Honda, Chevrolet, Kia, même en VUS!
