30 April through 3 May, Quattro de Mayo returns! Join Audi and VW owners from all over America as they enjoy the scenic roads of the Smoky Moutains, Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and Devil's Triangle! In addition, we'll sample the unique attractions of Gatlinburg and the local area. Our special event will be dinner on The Veranda @ Ripley's Aquarium!

Less than 8 weeks to the event, and we're already about 1/2 registered. Join the fun!

Sent registrants a letter yesterday, but I'll post an update here too.

Dinner at the Aquarium is iffy at the moment. We'd need more diners (~100, like last year) than are currently registered/counted (41) to reserve our own space on the Verandah. I'm asking the Aquarium to hold on for another month before vacating the reservation, but IF you plan to come, dinner will be US$18-20, buffet with several choices (vice US$30), and will NOT require you buy an Aquarium package ticket. Those will be available separately.

I have a list of attendees and their rooms. IF you wish to attend, but not reserve your own 2-BDRM condo, LMK and I'll hook you up. You can also use the message blog at the event site on MSR to speak to one another if you wish.

Evan has the mapping under control, and we have a route that bypasses Pigeon Forge enroute to the Tail of the Dragon. This will avoid a Shriner parade Saturday AM.

I'll begin ordering the knick knacks/memorabilia this w/e. Should be quite different. Vendors however have been slow to respond to requests for sponsorship. So we may do QdM light, which would be just fine. I will continue seeking sponsorship to help and broaden our appeal.
