External WG with ATP log mani.....dump tube route?

im using ATPs log mani (side mount). im using a Tial 38mm WG. i thought i heard someone saying there was an issue with bolting the WG right up to the mani. instead to use an "elbow" of some sort to move the WG over a little...

is this so? am i just totally wrong? i only have one day to replace my Eliminator setup for a full on 50 trim setup..... therefore i have to have everything figured out as there is no time to deal with those happy little surprises that ALWAYS pop up when ever motors are built up

also, where should i route my dump tube? (we have a TIG welder but im not sure we'll have the time to run the dump back into the DP)

you have to make an extension from the mani to the wg and then a dump tube, the wastegate wont be able to bolt right up to the mani, its like a 45 degree slant to the wastegate from the mani and it should fit fine

Yep you do need the tube. I'm selling an ATP manifold with the tube for $225 if haven't bought one yet:

You have to use something to move the WG futher away because the manifold was designed for a transverse which means the turbo is mounted the other direction and sits up above the manifold instead of under it like it does on the A4. The engine mount bracket is also an issue.
