hello CEL

Installed a carbonio and forge 007 w/ green spring last saturday the 10th, everything in my engine is stock. I noticed that my check engine light came on when i was omw to pick up my gf and it bugged me the whole time that i was with her, hence the 12am post. Any thoughts on why i got a CEL? if it is relevant, i noticed that i have been getting worse mpg since i installed the intake and dv. thanks

u'll need to scan for code.

CEL is usually caused by emission related control problems.

Are you sure it's a CEL?

It could just be the ESP light. That light likes to go on when the intake is removed, replaced, or altered.

In any case, did you make sure that you installed the Vacuum line going to the DV? It is a commonly overlooked component. People get excited getting the hoses onto the DV and forget to install the Vac line.

Doesn't hurt to check.

If it's a forge, you should have installed it in reverse. It will work both ways, but tends to hold boost longer and vent faster when in operation.

did you plug you MAF in? maybe a fouled up line somewhere, get is scanned at an autozone near you, it is the only way to know for sure. Could just be coincidence.
